What YFC is all about

Welcome, newbie! You’ve probably heard about us through a friend or maybe you just happened to find us on the web. No matter how you got here, we don’t think it was a coincidence. Please stick with us for a little bit and get to know us.

Youth For Christ (YFC) is many things to the students who come here—a hangout spot, a club, an after-school program, a church. It’s a place meant for you. At YFC, students have the opportunity to enjoy the various available activities and also be inspired and challenged by YFC leaders and guess speakers.

Come check us out and experience YFC for yourself. We hope that what you find here is not  just a club but a place where you can be real, be somebody, and get to know a God that wants you to become a part of something much bigger than what you could have ever imagined.

So what are you waiting for? Below, find the club where you belong. Download and fill out the Parental Consent Form and Medical Form on the right, and bring it with you.

See you soon.

KIDS’ KLUB

Thursday nights children in 1st through 5th grade are invited to a fun-filled night of games, praise and worship, and bible lessons. The evening starts with a wonderful home cooked meal that is served by loving volunteers, followed by an organized game, praise and worship songs, small group bible lessons, and ends with the children making a craft.

Kids’ Klub takes place Thursdays, at our Teen Center, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. For students living in Lebanon city needing a ride, please call 272-5106 before 5:00 p.m. on Thursdays.

JUNIOR HIGH CLUB

It’s not easy being a junior high student. Peer pressure, school work, busy schedules, family issues, and difficult decisions are enough to drive anyone crazy. Junior High Club is the place where junior high students can cut loose and have a blast with their friends. It is an exciting mix of upbeat music, crazy contests, and wild games. Each student also leaves with a message from God’s Word that relates to them personally and challenges them to live life passionately.

Junior High Club takes place Tuesdays, at our Teen Center, from 6:30–8:30 p.m. For students living in Lebanon city needing a ride, please call 272-5106 before 5:00 p.m. on Tuesdays.

SENIOR HIGH CLUB

Senior High Club is an activity night tailored just for teens in 9th–12th grade. Each night consists of hanging out with friends, playing sports like basketball or volleyball, and Biblical teaching. In addition, we have other events outside of the regular Monday night club like weekend retreats, game nights, Bible study groups, and more.

Senior High Club takes place on Mondays, at our Teen Center, from 6:30–9 p.m. For students living in Lebanon city needing a ride call 272-5106 before 5:30 p.m. on Mondays. Students can also drive or be dropped off at 6:30 p.m. at the Teen Center.

AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM

The After School Program (ASP) has the potential of a glorious day’s end for the students of Lebanon Middle School. The ASP is located at the YFC downtown office on the corner of 10th Street and Lehman Street. Our mission is to proactively facilitate growth—mentally, socially, physically, and spiritually.

The ASP is currently open Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 3:00–6:00 p.m. It is divided into two parts: snacks, games, homework and tutoring at 3:00–4:30 p.m.; and  F.I.T. Discipleship groups at 4:30–6:00 p.m.

For interested students, our tutoring program, S.U.R.G.E., begins with a detailed assessment of each student’s strengths and concerns, followed by an individualized game plan. Students involved in S.U.R.G.E. have seen their school grades improve!

The F.I.T. (Faithful, Interested, and Teachable) teams are gender specific, small groups led by volunteers for the purpose of learning more about Jesus and what it means to live for him.

Contact the office at 272-2400 ext. 403 or Michael Burkey at 673-0284 for more information about the ASP.
