Originally, I was born and raised in Delmas, Haiti and moved to Brooklyn, NY at the tender age of eight years old. I was residing in New York City up until two years ago when I felt led to attend Summit International School of Ministry upon graduating college.
Due to YFC’s connection with Summit, I along with a few of my peers were able to come out and provide assistance with club during the school year. It was through my Middle School Club experience that I was able to see the need and where the desire to be used of God to meet that need was cultivated. The kids that came out challenged me to love out loud, to see the beauty in the little things, to believe in the goodness of God and to believe in the future and in the hope that God has for this generation.
One of the things that played a huge role of me deciding to intern at YFC® was the importance that is placed on community and the family unit. Since I am a long way from home, the one thing that I am expecting is community.
